Newtonmore v Fort William

Newtonmore continued their good goalscoring run with a comfortable 5  1  victory over relegation threatened Fort William. A good start saw the young Fort Keeper saving well from Danny, it took 16 minutes for the first goal,Glen beating a couple of players and firing an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net. The Fort keeper was in fine form and had 2 more good saves from Danny but in the 26th min Danny's efforts were rewarded when he smashed in from a tight angle on the right. Despite dominating the game 'More were unable to add to their goal tally and  wre made to pay just before half time when a rare Fort attack saw them reduce the deficit. 'More went straight back onto the attack and young Drew was viciously sythed down by a Fort defender who to the amazement  of players and fans alike was only yellow carded, this was the sme player who had finished Rory's season only a couple of weeks earlier.
The second half began with 'More dominating and looking for more goals, in the 57th min a cross from Scott was lashed home by David Fraser who was making his first team debut. It was one way traffic now and Mike added number 4 when he picked the ball up fully 40yards from goal and struck a tremendous shot high into the net, three minutes later Danny made it 5 with a well taken goal. Only one more win from 4 games to retain the Premier League.
The 2nd team had a very good 5  0 win over Skye which leaves them needing 1 point to retain North Div 2 Cup
