Newtonmore; 1, Mike Ritchie, 2, Norman Campbell, 3, Ackie Macrae, 4, Steven Macdonald, 5, Cameron Binnie, 6, Jamie Robinson, 7, Paul Macarthur, 8, Andy Mackintosh, 9, Evan Menzies, 10, Fraser Mackintosh, 11, Glen Mackintosh, 12, Danny Macrae, 14, Scott Chisholm(capt), 15, Mike Russell, 16, Calum Stewart;

Inverary started the game well and pushed forward although their forwards did not trouble Mike, the first half hour of the game was pretty even with neither goalkeeper having to many problems, this changed in the 35th min when Glen picked up the ball in the middle of the park and sent a great diagonal pass to Danny who moved the ball quickly to Fraser who gave the keeper no chance with a blistering drive, 1--0. 'More took confidence from this and the Inverary keeper had to be sharp once or twice more in the closing minutes of the half to keep the score at 1--0  .
The strong wind blowing across The Eilan did not help either team as the second half got underway, 'More had made two half time substitutions with Scott and Mike replacing Paul and Jamie.  Toady in goals for Inverary was certainly the busier of the two keepers although 'ary did create a few chances of their own, in the 58th min a controversial offside decision against 'More kept the score at 1--0 although two minutes later 'More had a chance to increase the score when we were awarded a penalty, up stepped Glen but his shot was well saved. 'More pressed forward but a dogged 'Ary defence kept our forwards at bay, in the 63min another sub. Calum for Evan, the game continued in this vein with 'More pressing and Inverary counter attacking although not really causing Mike any problems. The match was finally settled with only a few minutes remaining when Fraser scored his own and 'More's second. All in all a comfortable enough win.
