1, Mike Ritchie, 2, Norman Campbell, 3, Ackie Macrae, 4, Andy Mackintosh, 5, Cameron Binnie, 6, Paul Macarthur, 7, Jamie Robinson, 8, Scott Chisholm(capt) 9, Evan Menzies, 10, Glen Mackintosh, 11, Fraser Mackintosh, 12, Calum Stewart, 14, Mike Russell, 15, Craig Ritchie.
Newtonmore started the game well and pushed forward looking for an early breakthrough but some stout defending , good goalkeeping and poor finishing kept the score level. This was to be the story of the match.'Shiel on a rare foray upfield capitalised on some slack defending to take the lead in the 20th min, much against the run of play. 'More were immediately back on the attack but 'Shiel held out. An injury to Fraser near the end of the first half saw young Craig Ritchie making his first team debut, a proud moment for dad Mike the goalkeeper playing alongside his son.
Half time 0----1
Second half began in the same vein as the first with 'More pressing and looking for the equaliser. The home support did not have long to wait with Glen firing home in the 55th min to level the game. A few more chances were missed in a frustrating afternoon for the forwards. The bright part of the day was the way Craig settled in and played well on his debut. Everyone there felt that the break would come and they were rewarded with a fine goal from Craig to make it 2---1 in the 82 min, just 4 mins later and the game was won , a great run down the left and a ferocious drive into the top corner from Calum secured the points.
All in all a satisfactory day, not playing to our best and still managing to win to keep up our good start to the season.
