After a late change of venue the Game was played at The Eilan as Canal Parks was deemed unplayable after a morning inspection.
Newtonmore started well and were 2 up after only 10 mins, Glen with the opener after 8 mins with a low drive into the corner then Fraser after a good move down the left gave the keeper no chance from the edge of the D. The score could have been doubled but for 2 great saves by the young keeper to keep Danny off the scoresheet. Shane Gillies in goal for Kilmallie was in outstanding form and had fine saves from Glen ,Evan Fraser and Danny again to keep the score at 2---0 at the break.
More of the same was to follow , with Evan crashing a shot of the post in the first minute of the 2nd half, followed by 2 more good saves from Gillies. In the 71st minute Fraser scored his second and 'More's 3rd . A few minutes later 'More were awarded a penalty but once again Gillies denied Danny. At this point Connor came into the game replacing Craig. A slick passing move between Evan Danny and Fraser who sent the ball through to Glen who rifled the ball home to make it 4.
A comfortable win for 'More sees them into the next round where we will face old foes Kingussie at The Dell.
Friday 2nd May the 2nd team face Kingussie in the Strathdearn with a 6.30pm throw up at The Eilan and on Saturday 3rd May the first team will also face Kingussie at The Eilan in a premier league match with a 2.30 throw up. There should be a large crowd for both these games which as usual will be hard fought affairs.
