Kyles vs Newtonmore

Report by The Strathy

A Scott Chisholm strike from 20 yards opened the scoring for Newtonmore in the ninth minute, but Kyles Thomas Whyte equalised four minutes later as he took advantage of hesitancy in the Newtonmore rearguard.  Kyles went ahead just three minutes after the interval when a Roddy Macdonald shot was parried by Newtonmore keeper Mike Ritchie, but fell at Whyte's feet and he netted from close range.

Newtonmore racked up the pressure on the Kyles defence and finally equalised when Glen Mackintosh took advantage of defensive errors to score in teh 72nd minute.  Three minutes later Chris Sellar grabbed b oth points for the blue and whites when he smashed the ball home from 20 yards.  Kyles pushed forward in search of the equaliser, but left themselves exposed to the visitors ability to create fast breaks and but for a string of good saves from John Whyte in the Kyles goad, Newtonmore could have added to their tally.
