It was clear from the throw up that the Garrison side were going to be outclassed by Newtonmore who pressed from the first minute.  Fort keeper Felix MacKay was under pressure straight away and pulled off three good saves in succession in the eighth minute, but the first goal was not long in arriving.  Evan Menzies made the breakthrough in the ninth minute with a 17 yard strike that was still rising as it hit the back of the net.

The home side continued to dominate and the visiting keeper was forced into several more good saves, including an outstanding block from Fraser MacKintosh.  He drove a fierce shot from a tight angle 10 yards out, close tot he bye-line, only to see the keepr deflect it high above his head with his caman.

Despite all the pressure, Newtonmore could add only one more first half goal to their tally when Menzies struck again, five minutes before the interval.

A minute after the restart, Glen MacKintosh made the game comfortable for More when he scored from 15 yards - then the floodgates opened.

Menzies made it four from five yards a minute later to complete his hat-trick, but he wasn't finished, with further strikes in the 73rd and 75th minutes to make it 6-0.

Putting the icing on the cake was Scott Chisholm, who netted after 83 minutes to make the final score 7-0.
