A lovely day for a journey west, travelling through Glencoe  on a bright sunny day, Scotland at its best.

Arrived in Inveraray to find the park quite soft after all the rain, this did not stop us from a great start to the game with Chris forcing the 'Ary keeper into a good save inside the first minute, indeed for the opening 20 minutes their keeper was very busy, the centre line winning everything and the forwards creating chance after chance although some very good goalkeeping and stout defending kept the ball out of the net. Inveraray came into the game a bit more and forced a decent save from Mike. At this point we lost Steven to injury to be replaced by Rory. Newtonmore continued to dominate although 'Aray were beginning to create a few chances. Late in the first half Inveraray broke the deadlock with only their 2nd shot on target to make the half time score  1-0.

The second half followed the pattern of the first with 'More pushing forward in search of an equaliser and coming up against a resolute 'Aray defence, midway through the half another injury this time Calum being replaced by Fraser, Toady the 'Aray keeper continued to defy our forwards with his man of the match performance, to make matters worse our injury jinx struck again with Scott taking a bad injury to his hand .

full time 1-0

A bad day at the office , time to regroup and prepare for our first home game next Saturday with Lovat in the Mactavish Cup.

Another great result for the 2nd team with a 5--0 win against Lochcarron, a great start to the season from our youngsters who this week travel to play Glenurquhart.
