Oban vs Newtonmore

Report by The Strathy

Newtomore Won 5-1

Riding high Newtonmore, the steamroller of success continued this week.  The Blues and Whites extended their unbeaten record in the Premiership in fine style at Oban Camanachd, proving that despite the title being over and done with, the team are very much still game for continuing that record right to the end.

Oban did their best to upset the applecart, however, with Andrew MacCuish striking in just the first mintue, but six minutes later the match was all square again as Evan Menzies rattle home Newtonmore's first.  Enter Norman Campbell.  He swiftly continued his highly enjoyable spot in the forward line this term, with goals in the 25th, 26th and 43rd minutes leaving the Blue and Whites 1-4 up at the turn.

After a quieter second period, Fraser Mackintosh added a fifth on 78 minutes to round off the result.

Scorers for Newtonmore

Evan Menzies (7), Norman Campbell (25, 26 & 43) & Fraser Mackintosh (78)
