Annual Xmas Sale Saturday 2nd December
There was a slightly disappointing turn out, especially by players, which undoubtedly affected takings both at the sale itself and for the Xmas hamper raffle tickets which were down on the last two years. The prosecco and cake was really enjoyed, but unfortunately not by enough people given the effort and donations involved.

There were some really good games which added to the venison and home baking takings. The sale itself took £2246; there were raffle sales of £850; we received a donation on the day of £200; player and match ball sponsorship of over £200 was taken; advance season ticket sales of circa £200 was made; and about £300 in merchandise sales were made. So the grand total was still £4k making it once gain the most important day in our fundraising calendar. Many thanks to everyone that helped.

Annual General Meeting
This took place on 7th December with about 30 players and other members in attendance. PJ was confirmed as 1st team coach and Orsten Gardiner as 2nd team coach. The junior teams coaches remain much the same, but with the welcome addition of help from some of the 1st team players.

Player/coach sponsorship
It's still only £25 to sponsor one of the players/coaches this season. The money raised has been used in previous years for additional kit such as track suits, training tops and jerseys.

This year we would like to equip the squads with a smart top that can be used for travel/after matches. This year we already have sponsorship from Michael Doddridge in Massachusets USA as a birthday present from his wife Cathie. If you would like to support the club in this way please contact
or text 07495 873127 You will need to be quick as there are only 6 of the 50 left.

Match ball sponsorship
This is still £20. There is still a 1st team cup tie available as well as seven second team matches. Contact iangibson12@btinternet.com

Season tickets
The price for season tickets remains the same. Life members are £30 and non members are £36 with concessions at only £15 and £21 respectively. Admission to games without a season ticket is still £5 with concessions now £3 instead of £2.50.

As season ticket holders get into home cup matches half price there is a significant saving over the season especially if we have a repeat of 2017 with five 1st team home cup games.

Dr Johnny Cattanach jars
The running total from the jars has now passed £430 and there are still some jars waiting to be returned. Many thanks to everyone who has donated in this way.

New merchandise
New replica childrens replica tops with sizes from age 3 are in stock and new shower proof jackets for ages 3-4 and 5-6 will arrive in a few weeks.

We also now have Camanachd Association shinty ball key rings at £2.50.

New adult shower proof jackets are now in stock. This is a Macron jacket selling at £49. In a few weeks time we will get O'Neills jackets which will cost £41. Whichever sells better will become our standard stock item!

Adult replica tops are now reduced to only £25, but these are only available in size XL. We have reduced the price of ladies polo shirts to £9.50.

Dr Johnny Cattanach Memorial Field Work
was originally due to start on this on 6th January, but the freezing weather unsurprisingly delayed the clearance of the BAM Ritchie site compound. The ground was also too frozen to rotovate so our contractor could not start anyway.

If you have been past the Eilan in the last few days you will see a very large pile of aggregate [over 3000 tons] which we have negotiated to receive from BAM Ritchie. They are also doing work on the roadway with aggregate up to the clubhouse from the shed; from the shed to the gate and from the gate up the side of the pitch and along the top. The brief is to have a camber so that water flows away from the pitch.

Our contractor is due to start work on the pitch this coming week and we hope to use the aggregate to create a roadway and parking at the clubhouse side of the new pitch.

Website sponsorship
Many thanks to John and Irene England who are keeping on the sponsorship of the website this year having moved from Crubenbeg to Clune House.

Advertising boards
Its been great to have so many long standing loyal supporters and none more so than John Ross Funeral Services supporters for the last 13 years who have taken a new board. We are also welcoming George Leslie Ltd as new ad board sponsors through Mike Gault.

We are going to be reviewing our prices as the cost of the boards has gone up, but it is currently only £350 for three years with an option of paying in three installments the same price as in 2006. Please spread the word.

Golf club membership
It is the 125th anniversary of the golf club this year and to encourage young members they have a graduated scale of payment. A sponsor is paying the £30 levy for all members under 30 years of age.
